Barney ... The Green Clown Goby

(Gobiodon rivulatus)
He just looks like a Barney, doesn't he?

SO much character in such a small fish.

He used to hide in our blue fake coral...at ALL times. Now that it's been removed, and Gregory has been removed, he is out a lot more and seems MUCH happier. And whenever he does hide/rest, it's all over the place now (Corals, Rock Crevises, we've even seen him resting on the feather of the giant Feather Duster).

During feedings he'll shoot out quick, grab a piece of food, and immediately dart back into wherever he was hiding last.

Since Sunshine's Disappearance, he's taken her place as the curious watchman.
He is all over the tank, peering out at us always. Definitely a big fan of Peek-a-boo
(as you can see below).

Don't let his tiny teeth scare ya'.

Here's a nice pic that shows his markings pretty well.

When asked if he would pose for more pictures, he responsed:
"Nope. We're done here, until you talk to my agent!"

Added to the tank on February 19th, 2005 from Congressional Aquarium.
