Elvis ... The Arrow Crab
The Cranky Old Man
Looks like a spider, doesn't he? Nope. He's a crab. And he acts like a cranky old man!! He basically looks like a cross between a daddy long legs, and an indian arrow-head.
He's mostly nocturnal, and he really doesn't bother anyone. But if they get near him, he will extend one of his feet, point it right at the fish, and I SWEAR you can hear him say "You Darn Kids!! SHOO! Get out of my yard!"
He'll even do it to me. If I get near the tank, he'll point at me, and wave his hand frantically!
At first, he can be quite creepy to look at, as he does look a lot like a spider. But when you watch him eat, it's pretty cool, as he shovels food in his mouth like a person. Arm out, grab food, arm in towards his mouth. It's kind of cute.
He's a bit of a gimp though, as he's missing two of his back right legs, and his front left arm. So he only has one eating hand. But he makes due. As a crab, he should Malt anytime now, and grow a new one in the process. But it's been over a month, and he's yet to regenerate it.
None of these pictures show his true color, but he's brown with very pretty royal blue and dark green stripes, with a bright blue claw.

This shot shows you how he's missing some legs. On each side, he should have 4 legs, plus 1 arm with a claw on it. You can see the 4 legs on the right (his left-side), and what the arm with the claw should look like on the left (his right-side).
